Jurij Sadar predstavit će projekt Sportskog kompleksa Stožice, s kojim su SVA pobijedili na otvorenom međunarodnom natječaju 1997. godine i čije dovršenje se planira 2011.

OFFICE PROFILE
SADAR + VUGA was founded by Jurij Sadar and Bostjan Vuga in Ljubljana in 1996. Over the past thirteen years it has focused on open, innovative and integral architectural design and urban planning. The office has been driven by a quest for quality, with a strong belief that forward-leaping architec¬tural production contributes to our well-being, and generates a sensitive and responsive development of the physical context we live in, broadening our imagination and stimulating our senses.The growing portfolio of built work ranges from innovative town planning to public space sculpture, from interactive new public buildings to interventions within older existing structures. SADAR + VUGA designs extended living areas in residential buildings, guided by the culture and climate of place. SADAR + VUGA shapes interior environments that respond to very personal tastes and desires. The client base reflects the diversity of built and project experience. Ranging from municipal councils and Central Government, encompassing national and private arts bodies and multi nationals to the best developers in Slovenia.With the “Formula New Ljubljana” – a collection of their own realisations and of urban planning studies – the architects at SADAR + VUGA are now also intervening in the political process. They are of the opinion that architecture should not function as a mere piece of design, but rather as a way to shape and change social space. In their view, in the age of the experience economy, architecture thus plays an interactive social role.

PARTNERS
Jurij Sadar graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana (1987), and until 1993 worked as an independent architect. In years 1993 – 1997 he was the assistant professor at the same faculty. Since 1998 Jurij lectures at architectural schools, conferences and symposiums in Slovenia and abroad. Piran Days of Architecture (Slovenia, 1998), SCI – ARCH (Los Angeles, USA, 2001), University of Zagreb (Croatia, 2002), Cankarjev dom Ljubljana (Slovenia, 2003), New trends of Architecture (Tokyo, Melbourne, 2004-2005), UCLA, Department of Architecture and Urban Design (Los Angeles, USA, 2007), Skulptur Projekte (Munster, Germany, 2007), Formula New Ljubljana (Bejing, China, 2008) are some of the events he lectured on.Bostjan Vuga graduated at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana (1992) and continued post graduate studies at the AA School of Architecture in London (1993-1995). Since 1998 he lectures at architectural schools, conferences and symposiums in Slovenia and abroad. In 2003 he was a studio tutor at Berlage Institute in Rotterdam. He was a visiting critic at AA School of Architecture, at Bauhaus Kolleg in Dessau, at the IAAC in Barcelona, at the ETH in Zuerich, at the Universitaet fuer Angewandte Kunst Wien and Academy of Visual Arts Vienna. As a visiting editor he took part in two issues of AB architectural bulletin.He had published numeurous articles on current occurance in architecture and urban planning, presented in national and international professional and broad interested publications.

Ciklus ´4x6´, u sklopu kojeg će se održati ovo predavanje, čine četiri skupine po šest predavača: etablirani arhitekti iz regije, obećavajući domaći arhitekti, uredi čiji rad obilježava društveni aktivizam te srodne struke (likovni umjetnici i dizajneri). Predavanja se, odlukom Odbora za stalno stručno usavršavanje Komore, boduju u sklopu programa SSU s 3 boda.
