Opis
The basic objective of the project is to disclose the envisaged potential of the site and to show its capability of being appropriately and fully developed under the existing conditions. Using a tiered structure of space, we have managed to combine a great number of functions without prejudicing any of them but organically intertwining them. The project implies appearance of cultural and business parts centered on the protected building of the factory, and a residential part consisting of two residential blocks varying in structures and types of living units.
A focal feature of the project is a spatial solution in which numerous recreation areas (greenery lots, terraces, accessible roof areas) appear. Each apartment in the residential complexes, just as each room in the hotel, has an exit to a balcony or a terrace. The project also offers integration of alternative sources of power (solar batteries, special wind generators) into the general culture of the complex. Interaction of pedestrian and transport communications of all constituent components is such that pedestrian and transport flows are completely isolated either on various levels or horizontally.
The main distinguishing feature of the project is creation of an autonomous complex meeting the needs of the residents and organically fitted into urban environment.
