Opis
The urban texture of 17th century limits the urban development. The enclosed architectural layout breaks the links between blocks and restricts the mix of different urban functions. The three main public spaces have their own boundary, city function and landscaping orientation. BADEL is an industrial wasteland which is located around the city peripheral. There are two ways to continue the identity of the city public space. First, we proposed to extend the Bartola Kašić square to the site and build up a connection between the reserved building and the square. In this way, the history of the site will be reserved, a regional scale public space will be formed and its potential is also promoted by mixing different urban functions. Second, all the public spaces in the proposal connect to the north mountain. They break the enclosed architectural layout and form a landscape which has an obvious orientation.
