Rather Sun, than black hole!
We used the common Zagreb lower town block as a organization frame. We retain sheath and content layout but moved away inner building structures. By doing this wall became content. Configuration of wall models different spatial suggestions. Except that now wall is not a barrier, it becomes point of contact. Behind the wall social life of this city part is happening. Unlike common blocks in lower town, which are close for public, this block generates social activities which increase overall life standard in surroundings.
The center of Blok Badel is protected industrial building which is conversed in cultural facilities. There are concert halls, Badel museum, dance and ballet hall, lounge library.
Open area around is used as open air cinema, skating rink in winter, exhibition room, street market and so on.
